ALKO Cultivators MH350-4
Adam (Tewkesbury)
At first I didn't know what to do because I thought I'd need more power than this machine offered but I didn't want the wingspan of the MH5001. I talked to the guys at Garden Machinery Direct and they helped me to settle on this one. They reassured me that it would be more than enough power to take care of what I had to do. The only vegetable patches I have are very narrow, but also composed of very hard compact soil. I thought it would take at least about 5 hp to churn up the soil but the 4 hp of the MH350-4 has proved to be sufficient, crumbling the soil very well and making planting conditions more suitable. Another plus point for me was the value for money, about half the price of a comparable Honda machine. I don't think any other tiller would offer more features than this and it does all you could ever want. Ergonomic the design includes adjustable handlebars that match my height superbly.
