The Alko 2500R garden shredders are designed for small to medium sized gardens and use modern materials resistant to corrosion for a long working life. The plastic housing also works to keep the noise levels low, making the 2500R suitable for work in built up areas. Improved design of hopper allows for easy feeding with a large opening. The opening provides kickback-free feeding with a guiding plate that directs material straight into the cutting blades. Minimised risk of clogging. Compact design with maximum output at minimum noise. Central locking screw for quick access to the cutting tool, facilitating easy cleaning which will maintain smooth operation. Robust and sturdy undercarriage for easy transport and improved stability. For the operator's safety the 2500R will not operate if the lid is not properly closed and a rubber security device is fitted to prevent material being ejected backwards. The Alko 2500R shredders provide perfect chips which can be used around the garden, either in compost or spread around shrubs. Restricted aperature virtually eliminates the risk of injury by ensuring the operator cannot touch the shredding blades while the machine is running.
