Utilising STIHL’s economic 2-MIX engine technology alongside their M-Tronic system makes the MS 201 C-M not only a high performance chainsaw, but also a pleasure to operate. The M-Tronic technology takes into account external conditions (e.g. temperature, fuel quality and altitude) and electronically adjusts ignition timing and fuel metering appropriately. This ensures consistent engine performance, speed and acceleration, and means only one start position is required.

This model also enjoys lower fuel consumption and higher torque across a broad rpm range courtesy of four overflow channels that swirl the fuel-air mix before ignition, for improved combustion and efficiency.

You can choose between 12 or 14 inch bar lengths with this machine, safe in the knowledge that you will get a chainsaw with high cutting and plunging performance designed for use in agriculture, forestry, gardening and landscaping operations. To ensure maximum cutting performance balanced with efficiency, a variable-displacement oil pump is fitted, allowing precise, demand-based delivery of oil. You can change the chain tension easily with the side tensioner, which also avoids the need for contact with the sharp saw chain.

The Ematic chain lubrication system ensures your chain is perfectly lubricated at all times, for longer wear and less oil consumption compared to conventional methods of lubrication.

A pleasure to operate in all conditions

An impressive anti-vibration system dampens the oscillations from the machine’s engine to significantly reduce the vibrations present at the handles. As well as being more comfortable, the single-lever master control makes the MS 201 C-M easy to use, with important functions like start, choke, throttle and stop grouped on a single lever. Captive nuts help avoid the risk of losing them when changing the cutting attachment, while a tool free filler cap makes it easy to open and lock.

For more comfortable starting, STIHL’s ElastoStart system is present on this machine, reducing the shock caused by the engine compression during starting. This shock is taken away from your joints and muscles through a spring element in the handle.
