The MS 261 C-M benefits from STIHL’s M-Tronic system, which backs up its excellent power and clever features. Available with a 15 inch (37 cm), 16 inch (40 cm) or 18 inch (45 cm) bar length.
Fully electronic engine management
The M-Tronic system adjusts ignition timing and fuel metering, taking external conditions such as temperature, altitude and fuel quality into account to ensure consistent engine performance, a constant maximum speed and superb acceleration. Manual carburettor adjustments are rendered unnecessary, and cold/warm start recognition means only one start position is required on the combi lever. The engine starts with fewer pulls and can immediately accelerate up to speed.
A durable & robust machine
With a HD2 filter in this machine made from polyethylene, even very fine dust is trapped. In addition, because it is repellent to oil and water, it is very easy to clean. The filter cartridge is PET-covered with a quick-release lock, enabling the filter to be assembled and disassembled quickly and without using tools. The air filtration system uses pre-separation to eject larger, heavier particles, which helps to achieve perceptibly longer filter life compared to conventional filter systems. Ematic chain lubrication ensures maximum lubrication, longer wear and less oil consumption than conventional methods.
Comfortable, efficient & easy to use
STIHL’s 2-MIX engine technology ensures up to 20 percent less fuel consumption and a 50 percent emissions reduction compared to non-2-MIX 2-stroke engines from STIHL. The machine is easy to top up with fuel and oil, thanks to tool-free filler caps, and the chain tensioner is easily accessible on the side of the machine so you don’t have to touch the sharp saw chain. STIHL’s ElastoStart technology reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine during starting, while their anti-vibration system significantly reduces the vibrations at the handles, allowing you to work for longer without fatigue.
