The 455 Rancher is an ideal saw for landowners and part-time users who require a high powered, heavy-duty and responsive workmate for all cutting conditions. It combines the best characteristics of its predecessor with new, facilitating technology and ergonomics. An X TORQ engine design increases torque over a wide range of rpm to provide maximum cutting power. The Husqvarna 455 RANCHER Chainsaws feature a combined choke / stop control for easier starting and reduced risk of engine flooding. Another feature which makes these chainsaws easy to use is a side mounted chain tensioner which allows for rapid alteration of the bar and chain without the user needing to come into contact with the sharp saw chain. A forged three piece crankshaft provides durability for the toughest professional applications. A centrifugal air cleaning system injects air to remove dust particles from the engine compartment, reducing wear on the filter and lengthening times between filter cleanings. A quick release air filter facilitates cleaning and replacement of the air filter.
