STIHL’s TS 480i benefits from unique fuel injection technology, also offering excellent running, easy starting and high torque as well as comfortable operation. Supplied as standard with a 20 inch / 300 mm abrasive cutting wheel, and able to be operated handheld or using the FW 20 cart.

High-performance with excellent efficiency

Featuring STIHL’s electronically controlled fuel injection technology, you can rely on perfect running properties every time, as well as reduced fuel consumption, something also enhanced by the 2-MIX 2-stroke engine present in this machine. Using stratified charge, this engine provides more power with a lower weight, up to 20 percent lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.

Enjoy working in comfort

With an ergonomic grip position and loop handle, excellent cutting comfort in any working position is facilitated. The TS 480i also benefits from STIHL’s anti-vibration technology, which dampens the engine oscillations to significantly reduce vibrations at the machine’s handles, as well as the ElastoStart system, which reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine during starting. The compression shock is taken away from your joints and muscles using an element in the starter handle.

Simple, robust operation

This model has electronic water control, operated using simple buttons while the engine is running, with the water then switching on or off during cutting automatically depending on engine speed. This ensures optimum dust suppression at the touch of a button. A semi automatic belt tensioning system increases the service life of the belts and shaft bearing, while pre-separation air filtration achieves perceptibly longer filter life compared to conventional technology, with larger, heavier particles expelled.
