A lawnmower which is ideal for orchards and trees, grass verges and driveways. The HRS is one of Honda's lightest and most manoeuvrable lawnmowers.

The SK is one of Honda's lightest and most maneuverable lawn mowers.

The Honda HRS 536 SK is the latest addition to the fantastic value IZY range of lawn mowers. This new model is designed for larger areas where collection is not required. With a light machine weight of 31.5kg, the SK is agile and able to navigate large gardens with ease.

The intelligent auto-choke system automatically sets the choke to give the optimum starting and running in all conditions. Self propulsion ensures than you'll never get tired pushing the mower and makes traversing gardens with inclines or hills easier. The self propulsion is calibrated at a fixed speed to optimise mowing and mulch distribution, ensuring a clean even spread of grass.

The side ejection chute can be closed to enabling mulching. This allows the mower to automatically eject the finely cut grass trimmings onto your lawn. These trimmings act as fertiliser and the process is a great way to get a perfect, vibrant looking green lawn.

When a quick cut is all you need this machine zip through your grass in record-breaking time.

The Honda IZY range comes with a 5 year domestic or 3 month professional warranty.

Good sturdy mower without being heavy and difficult to manoeuvre, mulches really well much better than my previous mower.

I read many reviews of different lawnmowers on different websites, and the general consensus seemed to suggest that Honda made good mowers. So we purchased this one. First of all, the good points. The mower is really lightweight and incredibly easy to manoeuvre, even without engaging the drive motor. This is also the case with starting the motor. There is a pull cord, but this is very easy to pull and you don't have to pull the cord far before the motor kicks into life. It starts with practically the first pull. Fuel economy is also great, much better than the Qualcast I had previously. However, it's not all good news, so here are the things I don't like. The first thing to consider, is that because the mower is so light, it easily bounces off course if you are mowing over bumpy ground. It's not a major issue, you just have to keep a firm grip on the handlebar. The height adjustment of the cut is more of a problem. There is a lever on each wheel which has to be altered when changing the cut. The levers can be quite stiff, but then suddenly shoot free and go past the notch you want. It just makes things slow and fiddly. Another issue regarding height, is the height of the handlebar, which unfortunately is not adjustable at all. I am of average height of about 1.75m, but the handlebar feels really low to me, almost as if I am having to stoop when using the mower. I could see this being a real problem for a tall person, possibly leading to backache. The final problem I have encountered is with the actual use. Our weather can be quite inclement, so it can get quite long before being dry enough to cut. I mowed our large orchard yesterday. The grass was dry and about 3 - 4 inches in height in places. I set the mower on it's highest cut setting, but was disappointed to find the mower clogging up and the cutting being unable to exit via the side discharge. This meant I had to keep stopping and clearing out the underside of the mower. My old Qualcast was way better at coping with this. The only way round this was to not use the drive motor, but just push the mower forward myself really slowly. It took twice as long to cut as it would normally take. Toward the end, it also start to drizzle but I pushed on as I was almost finished. The clogging became even worse, so this mower just cannot be used if the grass is wet. I think that this is a good mower, so long as you are able to keep up a regular mowing regime, so that the grass is kept short. Under these conditions, the mower performs really well and is so easy to use. However, if your grass tends to get long between cuts, this mower will struggle.

It works like a dream so far. I have a very large 1 acre lawn with lots of nooks and crannies, and bumps and rabbit holes, but this mower copes well. I just wish Honda would either make the deck out of some sort of plastic or allow that doesn't corrode. I apply 2 coats of car body underseal before first use. It is my 3rd, and as yet my best Honda mower

I am pleased with my new Honda mulching lawn mower , compared to my previous mower, a Bolens mulching mower, it is much lighter in weight and consequently easier to manouever. However I do find the single speed set of the mower too fast for some situations and the height settings for the front wheels not very user friendly.
