The Mountfield HW531 PD stands out from the crowd with its versatile 4-in-1 function combination. It’s certainly striking to look at, with its extra large 280 mm diameter rear wheels and red steel finish.
Mulch, discharge or collect
Not only can this mower bag the grass cuttings as you mow, it also comes with the ability to discharge to the side or rear, and has a mulching plug. Mulching cuts grass clippings into fine particles that are then blown into the lawn, providing a fertilisation function while also eliminating the time you would normally take to stop and empty a collector, but still leaving a clean finish. This range of options allows you to choose the perfect solution for your lawn and try out the different modes to see what works best for you and your garden.
Smooth cutting for a smooth finish
The extra rugged wheels mean you can achieve a much smoother finish on uneven terrain. They also enable you to achieve a higher cut should you wish, with this mower offering a cutting height range of 25-80 mm, capable of providing short and long cuts without trouble.
Self propelled by a Mountfield engine
As well as packing a whole host of features into an attractive package, the HW31 PD is self propelled. Using the drive lever you can engage and disengage the mower with ease, meaning pushing your machine around the garden will become a thing of the past. This is powered by the Mountfield ST170 166cc OHV engine, while the cutting deck is an efficient 53cm, allowing you to cut lawns with longer grass and up to 50m x 50m.
