Handmade in Japan & built to deal with the toughest mowing challenges.
The Canycom Samurai CM226 boasts a 22HP Subaru-powered V-twin engine and shaft-driven design that allows it to survive the most difficult jobs out there.
A shaft driven design unique to this range of machinery
Unlike any other machinery in this class, the Samurai range is able to deliver almost 100 percent of its impressive 22HP to the blades for exceptional cutting performance. The blades themselves are made of fine layers of steel formed in a forge, giving a superb edge and durability, able to survive encounters with granite rock.
The spring-steel blade carrier's innovative profile and an oil-filled, cast gearbox with a spring-based pinion gear system helps this mower avoid shocks and impacts as you work over tough terrain.
Created for the work other machines can't handle
A key feature of the 2WD Samurai range is that they can work on slopes up to 15 degrees. The shaft drive ensures added durability, avoiding the frequent problems with reliability and maintenance of belt driven machines, as well as providing the impressive performance already mentioned. A front nudge bar allows the CM226 to to push over scrub, gorse and small trees, and it also has a 23.6 cm throat that ensures tall, thick grass and brush can pass underneath into the cutter deck.
The power to ensure this machine can handle such strenuous jobs comes from a Subaru-powered Robin EH65DS engine, which is an air-cooled 4-cycle V-twin 653cc, 16.4 kW petrol version. On top of this, the CM226 can even cut through wooded material up to 3.6 cm thick.
Easy-to-operate & comfortable to work with
Thanks to its unique combination of a mechanical 2 step gearbox that allows high and low range gear selection to suit a variety of tasks, plus a hydrostatic drive to the front, you have a machine that's not only easy to use (due to the hydrostatic automatic drive and foot pedal operation), but enjoys the power and strength of mechanical drive. You can alter the position of the steering wheel and driver's seat to suit your stature, size and preference, allowing you to work for longer in complete comfort.
Changing the cutting height is also simple, with the deck able to be raised between 0 and 150 mm in 21 steps. Control is also simple, thanks to an incredibly tight turning radius of 1.8 metres and the compact design allowing the CM226 to get into places other machines can't.
