Chain quick tensioning enables the operator to easily adjust the tension, without the need for tools or contact with the saw chain, via a thumbwheel which is housed under the sprocket cover. Ematic chain lubrication maximises lubrication and lengthens wear while keeping oil consumption up to 50% lower than conventional lubrication methods. This system achieves these results by working in conjunction with the oilomatic saw chains to pinpoint exactly where lubrication is required. Overload protection turns off the motor before it overheats and self-disconnecting carbon brushes interrupt the current supply to protect the motor against damage. A QuickStop Super chain brake is an additional braking system that is activated as soon as the operator's hand comes out of contact with the rear handle. Also available with 12" / 30 cm and 16" / 40 cm bar lengths.
