The STIHL 4-MIX engine is the first four stroke engine which works on a mixture of petrol and oil. It combines the advantages of four-stroke and two-stroke engines in one. With higher torque, up to 80% less emissions and a deeper more pleasant sound. Combined with a well balanced, bike handle, as a light brushcutter, it makes the FS100 a leader in its class. Intense vibrations can lead to long term effects on the blood vessels. So, to combat this, Stihl have installed an anti-vibration system on the Stihl FS100 strimmers and brushcutters to dampen oscillations from the engine, thus minimising the vibration level in the handles. This protection also makes work more comfortable and provides safer operation. These powerful brushcutters are fitted with a bike handle for optimum mowing performance. Used in conjunction with a harness, it enables a smooth mowing action ideal for large areas. It also makes it easy to guide the machine, lessening user fatigue. The handle can be rotated through 90� without the use of tools via a central wing nut. This facilitates transport and space-saving storage. The handle of the Stihl FS100 strimmers and brushcutters is fitted with a multi-function control which enables all of the engines functions to be controlled remotely. Thus the operator is never required to remove their hand from the handle during operation. Supplied with a padded carrying system and a pair of goggles which are resistant to both flying particles and harmful UV rays.
