New generation, lightweight petrol brushcutters, the Stihl FS56CE strimmers and brushcutters have a straight shaft, bike handle design and ErgoStart technology. The bike handle, when used in conjunction with a harness, enables the machine to be easily guided, providing a smooth mowing action. Modern appearance, convenient operation and a very simple starting procedure are some of the highlights of these new grass trimmers. With Stihl ErgoStart technology easy, jerk-free and energy saving start-up is achieved by an additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter cord reel. A new two stroke engine features a stratified charge system which allows fast acceleration, low emissions and reduced fuel consumption. The Stihl FS56CE strimmers and brushcutters are equipped with a small manual fuel pump which delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This is particularly useful for reducing the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operation. Safety goggles are supplied as standard to provide protection against flying particles and UV rays.
