About the BCS 614 CRUSADER Power Scythe (80 cm)
A power scythe for cutting large areas of vegetation
The BCS 614 power scythe is much more productive than a traditional brushcutter. It is an entry-level machine with an 80 cm cutter bar for cutting vegetation up to 1 inch diameter; it will easily cope with long grass, brambles, wildflowers, reeds, nettles, weeds, and similar vegetation of any density, and is suitable for covering areas 1-3 acres in size. Unlike traditional mowers, the power scythe will keep seed heads intact to propagate.
Powered by a reliable Honda engine with self-propulsion
This power scythe is powered by a hardworking, reliable Honda GP160 petrol engine. It is self-propelled and has one forward speed 2.68 km/h, and one reverse speed 1.05 km/h; there is no need to push the machine, only steer and direct, which is ideal for reducing user fatigue usually prevalent particularly when mowing tough areas.
A versatile, multi-purpose machine
Additional implements can be purchased separately to convert the power scythe into a multi-purpose machine. Choose from various snow brush, blower, and blade attachments to name a few, however the BCS 614 isn’t suitable for use with ground cultivation attachments.
A 2 year commercial/3 year domestic warranty with BCS is included. We will register the machine upon delivery. T&Cs may apply.
