A user-friendly chainsaw for trained arborists
STIHL's MS 151 TC-E petrol powered chainsaw is for use by trained arborists only. It's the perfect choice for a multitude of tasks including the removal of dead wood, and trunk and branch shoots, as well as crown maintenance. STIHL's lightest arborist saw boasts optimum ergonomics and is designed for comfortable use. With just one hand the chainsaw can be started, operated, and stopped.
An effortless start every time
STIHL Ergostart, a spring between the starter cord reel and crankshaft, produces an effortless start every time without the need for excessive pulling on the cord. Aided by STIHL Elastostart which is a special shock absorber grip with damper, and a decompression valve for reducing the power required to start the machine, starting the chainsaw is even more hassle-free.
Efficient to use
It is safer to change the chain tension with side-mounted chain tensioning, and the user can easily adjust the amount of oil needed for the task at hand with the controlled-delivery oil pump. A smooth and efficient cutting performance is aided by the 1/4 inch PM3 saw chain and an anti-vibration system which reduces the transfer of vibrations to the handles. The 2-MIX engine increases the power output whilst also reducing consumption by separating the exhaust emissions from the unburnt gas. Additional features make it even easier and more comfortable to use the chainsaw, including a rear hand guard for protection, a top handle for precise handling, a tool-free fuel cap, and a master control lever. The recommended bar length for use with this machine is 10 inch but a 12 inch bar can also be purchased if desired.
