Premium features provided as standard with the MS 251 C-BE.
This saw has STIHL's ErgoStart technology and Quick Chain Tensioning included as standard, making it a wonderfully simple and comfortable saw to operate. It is available with a choice of 14, 16 or 18 inch bar lengths.
Easy starting & tool-less chain adjustment
ErgoStart is a genuine advance in easy starting, cutting the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just a third of the normal force. Just two fingers and a gentle pull is all it takes. Quick Chain Tensioning allows you to adjust the chain after releasing the sprocket cover with nothing more than a thumb wheel. Crucially, no tools are required, which makes getting the most out of your machine simpler than ever.
An efficient & durable chainsaw
STIHL's 2-MIX engine technology powers these saws, which provides lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions compared to non-2-MIX machinery. On top of this, Ematic chain lubrication not only offers pinpoint lubrication of the saw chain links and guide bar rails, but reduces bar oil consumption by up to 50 percent and results in longer wear. The air filtration system in the MS 251 achieves perceptibly longer filter life compared to conventional filter systems, with larger, heavier particles ejected in a pre-separation phase.
Comfortable, simple operation
Single-lever master control puts all important functions such as start, choke, throttle and stop on a single lever, and special catches on the fuel and oil tanks allow for easy opening and locking without the need for tools. In terms of comfort, the MS 251 has STIHL's anti-vibration technology at its core, ensuring the engine's oscillations are dampened and vibrations at the handles are significantly reduced.
