A part of their Freedom 500 range, the Mountfield Empress 46 Li is a battery-operated lawnmower with a 46 cm steel deck designed for domestic lawns up to 550 m². It is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre, with the handlebars folding down for space-saving storage too.

Highly manoeuvrable even on tough terrain

With rear wheel drive and self-propulsion (forward speed 3.7 km/h) the Empress 46 Li is especially easy to manoeuvre over slopes as well as flat ground, keeping operator fatigue to a minimum. The wheels contain ball bearings which also assist with manoeuvrability whilst also protecting the lawn. 

Choose from a versatile 4 cutting methods

The lawnmower boasts a spacious 60 Litre grass collector which will collect cuttings for quick and easy disposal, or the collector can be removed so waste is discharged to the rear; or the side deflector will leave clippings in a pile to the side of the machine; or the included mulch plug can be fitted to return finely chopped grass to the ground to fertilise it. The cutting height is centrally adjusted 22-80 mm through 6 preset positions.

The advantages of battery over fuel or electricity include zero emissions, quieter operation, and no cord restrictions. Typically, the maintenance required on a battery machine is minimal due to the lack of moving parts. When it comes to putting the lawnmower away there are no fuel spills to worry about and no electrical cable to wind up.

Included with the mower are 2 x 4.0 Ah batteries and a dual charging unit, which are compatible with all other garden tools in the Freedom 500 range. A grass bag, mulching plug, and side deflector are all enclosed.
