About the STIHL FSA 60 R Cordless Brushcutter (Kit)

New for 2021, the updated FSA 60 R brushcutter features a new contemporary design, enhanced ergonomic features, and improved durability. It is the ideal choice for lawn edging and maintenance performed by homeowners.
Utilising STIHL’s cordless technology
Powered by STIHL’s AK cordless system, operation is quiet and convenient allowing for use at any time of the day and at any place in your garden – there are zero restrictions! No hearing protectors are required to be worn by the operator and no harmful emissions are released into the atmosphere, for a more pleasant user experience.
Efficient cutting even in tight spaces
The FSA 60 R has a working width of 350 mm; an integrated spacer bracket protects vulnerable obstacles such as plants from damage, whilst also providing protection for the mowing head. The speed can be regulated continuously at three different speed levels. The all-round loop handle offers excellent manoeuvrability especially in confined spaces.
An easy-to-use control handle
The handle has been ergonomically designed for efficient use with levers and triggers in all the right places. The locking lever is self-resetting which inhibits intentional turning on of the brushcutter, which is a welcomed safety feature.
Compatible with a line and plastic bladed mowing head
An AutoCut C6-2 nylon line mowing head containing 2.0 mm round line is included. 2.4 mm line and lines of all shapes (round, square, pentagonal, and CF3 pro), plus the PolyCut 6-2 mowing head with plastic blades are also compatible with the FSA 60 R brushcutter. All changes can be done quickly and without the need for tools.
A battery and charger are included
The kit contains everything you need to use the brushcutter; the shell, an AK 20 battery, and an AL 101 standard charger. The battery will provide up to 25 minutes working time per full charge, and achieve 0-100% in 180 minutes when used with the standard charger. The FSA 60 R is part of STIHL’s versatile AK System, which means any other AK battery will fit in the machine.

It cuts fine but I cannot get the line to extend when following (carefully) the instructions in the handbook. This on first use.
