A compact but excellent performing cordless hedge trimmer

STIHL's HSA 56 excels at hedge trimming whether maintaining hedges or tackling tough shrubs. With a 45 cm / 18 inch cutting length, these double-sided cutting blades can cut both vertically and horizontally to provide the best finish with the least amount of effort possible. The blade also has a tip protector fitted as standard, which makes cutting near to the ground or along walls easier, while also helping to protect the tool from damage.

Comfortable, simple operation

Being a cordless tool, the HSA 56 is instantly easier to use than petrol or corded machines. You don't have to worry about complex starting procedures, petrol fumes, loud operating noise or tangled cables - not to mention expensive maintenance costs. Instead, you can use this tool without even the need for hearing protection as it is so wonderfully quiet. It has also been designed with safety in mind. The battery can be inserted in two stages, allowing one position where the battery is inserted but not touching the contacts (ideal for safe storage) and another where the machine can be fully operated.

Battery and charger sold separately

The shell only does not include any battery or charger, for if you already have a compatible battery and charger from another STIHL machine. You may purchase these separately, or included in the HSA 56 set or promo kit. 

The recommended battery for this hedge trimmer is the AK 10 battery, which will run for up to 40 minutes or cut up to 175m² of hedge with one full charge. The recommended charger is the AL 101 standard charger, which will restore the AK 10 battery to full power in 95 minutes, and has a useful LED indicator, a velcro strap for containing the electrical cable, and it can be wall mounted if desired.
