A very lightweight but powerful cordless pole pruner
The HTA 66 is a powerful cordless pole pruner powered by STIHL’s AP System, for professional trimming of branches that are high up. Being battery-powered, it is very lightweight and therefore easy to handle, weighing under 6 kg with the recommended AP 200 battery.
Excellent cutting performance of branches that are high up
The pole pruner has a total length of 240 cm which allows branches that are high up to be cut without hassle. A 1/4″ PM3 chain is included as standard and offers a clean and precise cut, even on tough pruning tasks. It has a soft-handled grip which not only is comfortable to hold but provides grip in damp conditions. Being weatherproof, it is acceptable to use the pole pruner in the rain and wet conditions (but not torrential rain).
Use with ease and in comfort
A tool-less oil cap makes it easy to open and close without effort, the chain tensioner being positioned on the side prevents contact with the chain when adjustments are made, and a sturdy branch hook removes loose clippings from the tree with ease. When the battery is inserted it creates excellent balance for fatigue-free working, whilst the control handle situated on the shaft is ergonomically designed for fuss-free control and also includes an important safety feature, that prevents the unintentional turning on of the pole pruner.

Compared to a petrol or electric-powered machine, with this battery-run tool you won’t be constrained by power cables or have to deal with petrol fumes, loud noise, heavy weight or costly maintenance. The very efficient brushless electric motor (EC) is virtually maintenance free, ensuring longer running time and increased life expectancy.
Battery and charger required, sold separately
Sold here as the shell only so that you can choose the appropriate battery and charger to suit personal requirements, or you may already have these in your STIHL fleet. Otherwise, any AP System battery will suffice but STIHL recommend the AP 200 battery as well as the AL 500 charger, for up to 41 minutes working time per charge and the fastest 0-100% charging time of 45 minutes.
