The new STIHL RMA 253 is a battery powered push lawnmower from STIHL's professional AP battery system. It is quiet, easy to manoeuvre, and simple to use. Designed for professional use on medium-sized lawns, the most powerful AP 300 S battery can provide up to 370 m² coverage per full charge. Batteries and chargers sold separately.

Efficient cut and collection of grass

The RMA 253 has a 53 cm (or 21 inch) cutter deck; the cutting height of this pedestrian lawnmower is simply adjusted using a single lever, through 7 preset positions 25-75 mm. Cuttings are collected in the sizeable 55 Litre grass box that fill right to the brim, which features a fill level indicator to tell the operator when it needs emptying; the integrated top handle and flap on the top make it easy to empty.

Featuring a quality sheet steel housing and a powerful air controlled system

Powder-coated sheet steel housing provides robustness for prolonged use required by professional users, and guarantees a long service life. The fan blade generates a strong air flow within the housing to ensure the blades of grass are lifted prior to cutting, which ensures a clean and even cut every time. 

Designed with handy features to make operation a breeze

The smooth-running wheels are equipped with a directional stability profile so that they can be manoeuvred effortlessly when mowing, staying perfectly on track. Other handy features include a foldable handlebar to aid transport between jobs as well as space-saving storage, and compatibility with STIHL's Smart Connector that allows vital details and statistics about the machine to be fed to a smart device.

STIHL's professional AP battery series is fully interchangeable with all other machines in the AP System; the shell only does not include any batteries or a charger should you already have these in your arsenal for a cost-effective solution. Otherwise, you can choose any AP battery - although STIHL recommend the AP 300 battery for 300 m² coverage per full charge - and any AL standard or quick charger. A second battery will allow for longer working times, as whilst the first battery is charging a second can carry on working. 

A 2 year professional warranty with STIHL is included, we will register the machine. T&Cs apply.
