Using STIHL’s electronically controlled fuel injection system, the TS 500i is a powerful and efficient disc cutter. Supplied with a 14 inch / 350 mm abrasive cutting wheel. Available to be used by hand, or in conjunction with the FW 20 cart.

Intelligent, high-performance engine technology

STIHL’s innovative electronically controlled fuel injection system ensures perfect running properties every time you use the saw, also reducing fuel consumption in comparison with tools lacking injection technology. The TS 500i uses a STIHL 2-MIX 2-stroke engine with stratified charge, which offers more power with a lower weight, up to 20 percent less fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke machinery and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.

A comfortable machine to work with

This saw comes with STIHL’s anti-vibration technology, which dampens the engine’s oscillations to significantly reduce vibrations present at the handles. It also has a particularly ergonomic grip position and loop handle, which help to facilitate excellent cutting comfort and control in any working position. STIHL’s ElastoStart reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine during starting, taking it away from your joints and muscles, while the manual fuel pump present in this machine reduces the number of starting strokes following extended breaks in operation.

Robust, durable & easy-to-use

The electronic water control that this tool benefits from can be operated by simple buttons while the engine is running, with the water then switching on and off during cutting automatically, depending on engine speed. This ensures optimum dust suppression is available to you at the touch of a button. Semi-automatic drive belt tensioning increases the service life of the belts and shaft bearings, while a pre-separation air filtration system ejects larger heavier particles before they reach the filter, to achieve perceptibly longer filter life compared to conventional systems.
