A robust axe made for splitting firewood.
Featuring a hammer function for easy and effective use of splitting wedges (not steel wedges), this is a versatile axe that is great to work with.
It features a non-stick coating to the axe head, resulting in less friction and easier entry into the wood. The head geometry is also adapted to suit wood working applications and, when combined with the light shaft, results in concentrating the power into the cut for easier splitting. A balance point close to the head means the S1600 axe enjoys good balance and weight distribution.
