A lightweight, easy to use KombiEngine from STIHL’s KombiTool multi-tool system

The KMA 130 R is STIHL’s lightest KombiEngine weighing a mere 3.2 kg, because it utilises the backpack battery system which reduces the tool weight and subsequently user fatigue. It’s also a hugely versatile tool from STIHL’s KombiTool system, with numerous attachments that can be easily fitted and removed as required, including hedge trimmers, pick tines, and a rotary cutting head, plus 2 extension poles, available to purchase separately.

Powerful yet a pleasure to operate

Featuring high torque and low weight, this is a high performance model. The electric motor provides energy efficient operation in a compact and lightweight shell. Other advantages of the battery technology include low noise, low vibrations and no service requirements, making it a pleasure to use for the user and in sensitive environments.

Safe & comfortable to work with

The operating handle allows you to regulate the maximum speed of the motor, saving energy and extending battery life depending on the application. An Operator Presence Control system is in place, with a self-resetting locking lever that ensures you won’t accidentally start the machine. The low vibrations ensure you can work for longer without fatigue, and being a loop handled machine makes it perfect for work in tight areas. A shoulder harness is included to help maintain balance during use.

A battery and a charger are required to operate the engine unit

The KMA 190 R is a battery-operated tool and as such a compatible battery and charger are required, but sold separately. We recommend using the AR 1000 backpack battery and AL 500 quick charger (sold as a set with the engine unit) for the best possible operation times of up to 125 minutes. As it’s part of STIHL’s AP Battery System, any AP battery can also be used to power the engine unit when used with the battery belt or carrying system, with a connecting cable.
