AL-KO’s 5001-R II is designed to be used in ecological natural gardens or meadows, where conventional mowers will not be able to cope. Tall grass and thick, matted weeds can be easily dealt with thanks to the 102 cm cutting width, while the movable grass deflector helps to ensure no grass is left lying on the cover. Depositing of the grass is improved thanks to the shorter distance between the wheel and the beam.
A robust & durable tool
The ESM blade is specially hardened and boasts infinitely height-adjustable outsoles, with the drive system on the mower mechanism also enclosed for added protection and durability. This makes it less prone to contamination, so you can expect longer operating times and an improved service life. The engine is a 2.4 kW 190 cc Briggs & Stratton E-Series 625, not only providing excellent power, but reliability from a quality brand you can trust.
Easy-to-use & comfortable
Thanks to its height-adjustable handlebar and built-in vibration damping, you will find the 5001-R II particularly comfortable to operate, reducing fatigue even when using it on rougher ground. The handlebar additionally helps to make the machine easier to transport, increasing its versatility. It also has the additional benefit of snow plough and tyre chain accessories available separately, giving you the adaptability to clear snow in the winter if necessary.

This machine came to me in its partially assembled kit form. Unfortunately the English instructions are not very good but for someone with a practical background it’s not too difficult to put together. Once assembled and adjusted it is a first rate mower. Maintenance of the blade and its drive will ensure it cuts though dense grass and annual weeds with ease.
