Simple & easy to start

With the renowned ErgoStart system on board, the FS 70 C-E is simple to start, thanks to a range of time and labour-saving innovations. The starter cord only needs a third of the normal force to function, and a coil spring between the starter cord and the crankshaft smooths out force peaks so that they are virtually undetectable through the cord. The effort required to start the tool is cut in half, and a simplified starting system reduces the time it takes too.

Reduced-emission 2-MIX engine

Another innovation from STIHL is their 2-MIX engine. A 2-stroke engine with stratified charge, this creates a fuel-free layer of ear between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase. In practice, this reduces the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle so that you can expect up to 20 percent less fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines. You will also receive more power for lower weight, and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.

Effortless control

Thanks to the bike handle that comes with this model, a smooth mowing action is enabled when used with a harness. You can guide the machine with ease, making it particularly well-suited to working on large areas without fatigue. A multi-function handle for easy, comfortable, thumb-operated control ensures your hand never has to leave the handle. An optimised trimmer angle makes the FS 70 C-E ideal for working on extensive areas of heavy grass.
