With the loop-handled control that this machine offers, you have an advantage when mowing in confined areas, such as when thinning between bushes and shrubs. A multi-function control handle also provides all the important buttons within easy reach, meaning you can operate this machine without ever having to take your hand off the handle.

Effortless starting every time

With STIHL’s ErgoStart system and simplified starting, the effort required to start the machine is cut in half. The force necessary to pull the starter cord is also reduced by a third. With a coil spring between the starter cord and the crankshaft, force peaks are smoothed to the extent that they are virtually undetectable through the cord.

Reduced-emission engine

A 2-stroke engine with stratified charge, STIHL’s 2-MIX engine technology reduces the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle, resulting in more power with a lower weight, up to 20 percent lower fuel consumption and vastly reduced exhaust emissions compared to a regular 2-stroke machine.
