An efficient & intelligent machine

Due to STIHL's 2-MIX engine technology, the 2-stroke engine in this machine actually reduces the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. This results in more power with lower weight, significantly reduced exhaust emissions and up to 20 percent lower fuel consumption. The M-Tronic engine management system that sets this range of tools apart from the competition adjusts ignition timing and fuel metering, taking into account temperature, altitude and fuel quantity to ensure outstanding performance and hassle-free use.

Simple to start & easy to use

The M-Tronic system itself makes starting an easier process, with no need for manual cold/warm start settings (the machine recognises the most appropriate setting itself) and the ability to remember other settings from the last time it was used. ErgoStart also cuts the effort required to get the machine started in half, while the cord itself is able to be pulled at just one third of the normal force. The starting procedure itself is simplified, and a multi-function control handle allows easy, comfortable, thumb-operated control.

Comfortable, low-fatigue operation

With its long shaft and bike handle, the FS 460 C-EM L is ideal for taller users, and when used with a harness, enables a smooth mowing action with easy control. A 4-point anti-vibration system uses steel springs to reduce the transmission of vibrations caused by the motor and rotary cutter, allowing you to work for longer without fatigue.
