Choose from a Honda, Briggs & Stratton or Yanmar engine

Three of the world’s most renowned engine manufacturers provide engines for the BCS 740, with petrol engines from Honda and Briggs & Stratton, and a diesel engine from Yanmar. The Honda engine is the 11.7hp GX390, available with recoil or electric starting, while the Briggs & Stratton 2100 is a 12hp recoil-only model. If you would prefer the unique advantages of diesel power, then Yanmar’s 9hp L100N engine is the solution, again offering a choice of recoil or electric starting for ease of use.

These machines offer three forward and three reverse gears, up to a maximum of 4.53 km/hr.

Easy, comfortable & robust

The BCS 740 features the new PowerSafe clutch, which stops both the drive and implement when the operator presence lever is deactivated, but without stopping the engine. This clutch comes with a five year warranty and helps make the 740 arguably the safest two wheel tractor on the market. Other ease of use features come from the locking differential and steering brakes, ideal for complete operator control.

The large 5.00 x 10 wheels give you ideal traction whether on thick, wet mud or icy pavements.

Superb adaptability & versatility

As well as high performance courtesy of its strong PTO gears, the 180 degree rotatable handles also ensure the BCS 740 can work with a huge range of implements suitable for a variety of tasks. For example, you can take on different mowing challenges with scythe cutter bars, as well as disc, flail, mulching and rotary mowers; ground cultivation tasks with a ridger, ploughs, a cultivator and potato lifter; plus all sorts of general jobs, with implements like the power brush and chipper shredder.

A quick coupling attachment can even be purchased to make working with multiple implements even simpler.
