The MX46SPE is self propelled and can either mulch, side / rear discharge or collect grass. The Cobra MX46SPE lawnmower has 7 adjustable cutting heights ranging from 25mm for a superb low finish, up to 75mm for tackling longer grass. All this is achieved by simply using the single height of cut adjustment lever. Depending on the height of your grass, you can easily and efficiently adjust the cutting height to suit.
The Cobra MX46SPE lawnmower is equipped with a 60 litre fabric grass bag, ideal for collecting large amounts of grass clippings before the need for emptying. The grass bag on the Cobra MX46SPE is made from a robust, high quality fabric. This fabric enables a strong free flow of air which means that grass collection on this machine is even more compact and comprehensive.

Good, capable and powerful machine, and great service and comms from supplier, Garden Machinery Direct. BUT, after sales service from Cobra non- existent. I reported a minor fault a week after purchase, seeking advice and a solution to a minor technical problem which interferes with the easy use of what is, a heavy machine. I received one acknowledgement email, since then, four weeks and two reminders later, nothing.
No doubt Covid and wfh will be used as an excuse, but frankly, if a manufacturer simply can’t be bothered to respond to a (polite) complaint about one of their products, I can’t and won’t be bothered to recommend them. What is it with British companies, do they not realise that their reputation in the long term can impact sales figures, or are they just lazy?
Whichever, it is their loss, and whilst I think the mower I’ve purchased is fundamentally good, it’s reliability and availability of future service is unknown, so I cannot recommend it.

Good machine but quite heavy and not all that easy to turn. As delivered it was impossible to fit the handle as the cable from the motor to switch was too short. Had to take off the motor cover which was not easy to refit and adjust the cable clamp.

Excellent build quality, self propelled drive is very handy. Mulch plug is a bonus, and the rear collection bag is a good size. Only one downside – the unit weighs 35kg, and does not have handles located to pick it up when moving between areas or for storage. Excellent customer service from Garden Machinery Direct.
