Stihl MS170 12" Entry level Chainsaw 30.1 cc

The Stihl MS170 chainsaws are the entry level saws suited to cutting firewood and property maintenance tasks such as thinning out shrubs and bushes. They can also handle the felling of trees up to 30 cm in diameter. A tried and tested 30cc two stroke engine provides ample power with low weight.The Stihl MS170 are fitted with an anti-vibration system to reduce stress on the user.Stihl have ensured the vibration levels are below the safe limit. A compensator acts as a controller, keeping the fuel-air mixture in the carburettor constant for consistent power until a cleaning is needed. Ematic chain lubrication provides maximum lubrication, longer wear and reduced fuel consumption by working with the oilomatic chain to pinpoint exactly where lubrication is required.
