STIHL’s MS 151 C-E petrol powered chainsaw is the perfect choice for the domestic user for cutting wood, ground maintenance, small timber felling, and even carpentry and building with wood. The very lightweight chainsaw by it’s own name is ergonomic and effortless to use, the C in the product name means it was designed for comfort. With just one hand the chainsaw can be started, operated, and stopped.
Starting the machine is as effortless as can be
A reliable and effortless start is facilitated by STIHL ErgoStart, a spring between the starter cord reel and crankshaft that prevents the need for excessive pulling on the cord. Assisted by STIHL ElastoStart which is a special shock absorber grip with damper, and a decompression valve reducing the power needed to turn on the chainsaw, starting the machine is even more jerk-free.
Technology highlights of the chainsaw
Side-mounted chain tensioning means it is safer for the user to change the chain tension, and the controlled-delivery oil pump allows the user to effortlessly adjust the amount of oil needed for the task at hand. The 1/4 inch PM3 saw chain offers smooth and efficient cutting performance, aided by the 2-MIX engine which increases power output and reduces consumption by separating the exhaust emissions from the unburnt gas. An anti-vibration system reduces the transfer of vibration to the handles further allowing the chainsaw to operate much more smoothly, so handlers can work for longer periods of time comfortably. A rear hand guard, tool-free fuel cap, and master control lever all aid the ease of using this chainsaw for the job at hand. The recommended bar length for use with this machine is 10 inch however it can also be purchased with a longer 12 inch bar if desired.
