The all-new STIGA Estate 598 replaces the Estate 3098 H
The Estate 598 is a mid-range Experience ride-on mower for those who want a step-up from the Essential range with more features and more power to get the job done. With a 98 cm twin-blade cutter deck and rear-wheel drive transmission, the Estate 598 is suitable for relatively flat lawns up to 4,500 m2 (roughly the size of 1 football pitch); the durable cast-iron front axle is designed to cope with frequent and heavy use.
A versatile machine thanks to its three cutting modes*
As it is, the Estate 598 is a collecting machine where cuttings are deposited in the large 240 Litre grass box. However, a mulch plug can be purchased separately to omit emptying altogether as with mulching, cuttings are very finely shredded and returned to the surface of the lawn; as does a rear deflector (sold separately) which replaces the collector and allows cuttings to be deposited on the ground, behind the mower. The cutting height is manually adjustable 25-85 mm through 7 preset positions to suit.
Smoother acceleration and deceleration
The Estate 598 W is highly manoeuvrable thanks to its pedal-operated hydrostatic drive and the omission of gears, which ensures accurate – and safe – movement which is especially useful when mowing around garden obstacles. The mower is powered by STIGA’s own-brand ST 500 petrol engine.
A delight to drive
A STIGA Classic high-back seat and ergonomic steering wheel provide operator comfort, whilst the small storage compartment and cup holder are welcomed additions. You’ll also enjoy energy-efficient LED headlights which provide light in low visibility, and easy electromagnetic blade engagement.
Additional features that elevate the Estate 598 to Experience level
The addition of anti-scalp wheels prevent the corners of the deck from marking the turf particularly when turning on uneven ground. A washing link or hose pipe fixture point makes it easy to keep the underside of the deck clean to for prolonged performance.
