The most powerful long-reach hedge trimmer for professional use
The HLA 135 is currently the most powerful long-reach hedge trimmer in the STIHL range; built for professional use, its battery power results in quiet operation and doesn’t produce any emissions making it suitable for use in noise and environment sensitive areas, also allowing for longer working times. A battery and a charger are required to operate the machine, but are sold separately.
Versatile cutting high-up and closer to the ground
With a total length of 249 cm the HLA 135 is capable of reaching taller shrubs and bushes but is equally as suitable for using closer to the ground. The loop handle provides support when using the hedge trimmer at an angle, and assists working in tighter spaces.
Clean, effortless cutting
The cutter bar has a lightweight magnesium gearbox and can be adjusted in increments through 145° depending on the task at hand, which is also handy for transport and storage. The 60 cm cutter bar itself comprises of double-sided cutting blades which ensure a better cutting performance.
Designed for efficient, long-lasting use
The control handle has been ergonomically designed for efficient working, with three-stage speed control and a built-in LED display. The air filter with metal mesh is easy-to-clean to ensure optimum engine cooling and a long service life.
Compatible with any AP battery and AL charger
As part of STIHL’s AP System, any AP battery will fit right into the HLA 135, although STIHL recommend the AP 200 battery along with the fastest AL 500 charger. No battery or charger are included with the purchase, to save you money if they are already owned within your fleet; otherwise, you will need to purchase a compatible battery and charger to use the hedge trimmer.

STIHL AP System tools and batteries are covered for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase by the owner, when used for the designed purpose of that product by professional users (including hire, rental and construction, farm and estate).
