The HSE 81 has an impressively high-powered 650W engine, combined with a 28 inch / 70 cm cutting blade with large tooth spacing, making it ideal for thicker branches.

Excellent cutting performance to tackle thicker branches

As well as the extra length provided by the 28 inch / 70 cm cutting blade, the large tooth spacing, high powered 650 watt engine, 2-stage reduction gear with low stroke rate and higher torque combine to make light work of thick branches. The blade itself is laser cut and ground using diamond discs. The hardened cutting edges are extra-resilient and stay sharper, for longer.

Comfortable & easy operation

The 5-position rotary handle with its integral armrest allows for comfortable cutting. You can choose from five settings between 0 and 90 degrees in either direction, and STIHL’s triple switch system also means your working range is increased, so you can get to otherwise difficult-to-reach targets. A transparent hand guard gives you a great view of what you’re cutting, and quiet running makes using the machine a pleasure. The integrated cable strain relief prevents the power cable (0.4 m as standard) from becoming accidentally disconnected during use.
