An ideal machine for tackling tough jobs.
STIHL's FS 131 is a 36.3cc petrol brushcutter with an impressive 4-MIX engine and bike handle control. Supplied with a 4-tooth metal grass blade (image shows 2-tooth) and AutoCut mowing head.
Powered by a 4-MIX engine
The 36.3cc, 1.4 kW engine uses the latest 4-stroke mixed lubrication technology that marks STIHL's 4-MIX machinery apart from the crowd. Running on a fuel-oil mix just like a 2-stroke machine, it enjoys the benefits of 4-stroke power without the drawbacks. You can expect fast acceleration, low noise and emissions, increased power and torque, plus a boost to fuel efficiency so that you can get jobs done more quickly, quietly and easily.
The FS 131 comes with both a metal grass blade, to tackle thick, stubborn grass and weeds, plus an AutoCut mowing head, for dealing with lighter areas in no time.
Simple operation for more efficient work
As this machine comes with an AutoCut mowing head, you are able to effortlessly renew the mowing line as it wears simply by tapping the head on the ground while working. It is a model that has been designed to be simpler to start, with a manual fuel pump delivering fuel to the carburettor at the touch a button (reducing starting strokes after a period of inactivity) and a decompression system minimising the amount of force required to pull the starter rope.
The air filter also boasts a long service life, while being easily accessible when the time does come.
Comfortable to use even over long periods
The FS 131 is supplied with an ADVANCE Universal double shoulder harness, which benefits from soft padding for added comfort. In addition, this model uses STIHL's anti-vibration technology to dampen oscillations from the engine and reduce vibrations at the handle, plus enjoys a light weight of just 5.8 kg. Thanks to the bike handle used to control this machine, smooth mowing over wide areas is easy to accomplish.
All the engine and speed controls are grouped within easy reach, and the stop switch automatically reverts to the start position for simpler restarting.
