The Stihl BR500 blowers are exceptionally quiet with good blowing performance for cleaning large areas. Padded ergonomic harness offers pleasant carrying comfort with height adjustment and corner adjustment. A decompression valve reduces the amount of force needed to pull the starter rope by releasing some of the compression pressure in the cylinder. The Stihl 4-MIX engine provides fast acceleration, more power, added torque, lower noise, reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency to complete jobs quickly, quietly and more easily. Special filler caps can be quicly and easily closed and opened without the use of tools. For optimum comfort and safety the Stihl BR500 blowers have anti-vibration technology which considerably reduces vibrations at the handles by dampening them at the source-the engine. This prevents the long term effects on blood vessels that can develop when working with intense vibrations for prolonged periods. A multi-function control handle means the operator never has to remove their hand from the grip as the controls are easily thumb operated. This increases user safety by maintaining a secure grip. The Stihl BR500 blowers were winners of both the reddot design award and the innovation gold medal in 2005.
