Enjoy Simple, Wire-Free Robotic Mowing with the Navimow i Series

Robotic mower technology has hugely advanced over recent years. And one particular range has really caught our eye, so much so that we really want to shout about it. This particular range of robotic mowers is the Segway Navimow i Series.

What Makes the Navimow i Series So Special?

the Segway Navimow i108E Robotic Mower cutting a lawnThese Segway robot mowers have been earning rave reviews for the simplicity of their setup, ease of operation, and quality of their cut. They really do have it all. What’s more, when you buy one of these leading-edge robotic mowers, you do not need to install any kind of wire in your garden, including boundary markers. That’s because they only use virtual boundaries.

And it’s not just us that think these Segway robotic lawnmowers are special. They’ve received iF’s Gold Award for their interactive design too. So, if you’re a homeowner in search of a completely fuss-free robotic mower, Navimow by Segway are the robot mowers for you.

Let’s take a look, in a bit more depth, what makes the i Series so special. We’ll start off by examining these robot mowers’ shared characteristics and provide a clear explanation of the technology they use. We’ll then show you the differences between the two available models, to help you determine which particular i Series Navimow is right for your own garden.

Setting Up a Navimow i Series Robotic Mower

The first thing you’ll want to do after buying a Segway automower is connect it to the Navimow app. This allows you to control and monitor the mower’s operations on your smartphone or tablet, through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Popping out to meet friends while your robot mower is working? No problem at all. As long as Navimow is connected to Wi-Fi, you can check its progress wherever you are.

Key Stats (Including Cutting Capabilities)

the Segway Navimow i108E Robotic Mower from aboveBoth Navimow models measure 545 x 385 x 285 mm and weigh 10.9 kg. (The charging station’s dimensions are 715 x 450 x 300 mm.) They are durable, waterproof, and extremely easy to clean.

Each one mows in beautifully straight lines, with a cutting width of 18 cm and adjustable cutting height of between 20 and 60 mm. Once it has achieved complete coverage of your lawn, the mower will change direction to keep the grass looking fresh and free of wheel marks.

A Navimow robot mower is exceptionally quiet when operating too, having a noise output of just 58 dB(A). This ensures that your garden remains a haven of peace and tranquility, even when the grass is being cut.

Mapping Your Lawn’s Boundaries

Firstly, use the app on your smartphone to drive the Navimow robot lawn mower around the boundaries so that it registers their locations. Alternately, if you don’t feel confident doing this, simply let the machine use its leading-edge, AI-powered Assist Mapping feature to do the work for you.

If your lawn consists of multiple areas, the Navimow app allows you to map them all, as well as create safe routes for the mower to travel between them. You can customise these work areas with different mowing schedules, if desired.

Other Navimow App Features

Along with giving you complete control over all work areas and mowing schedules, the Navimow app provides you with on-demand, real-time progress and status updates, even if you’re away from home.

It also allows you to mark off-limit areas. This is particularly useful if part of your lawn is undergoing maintenance or if you’ve set aside a section for rewilding.

And should you encounter any difficulties or have any questions, a live chat function is always on hand to provide you with exactly the support you need.

Managing Complex Lawn Layouts with Navimow

the Segway Navimow i105E Robotic Mower climbing a lawn with a 30% inclineThese Segway lawn mowers boast the very latest Exact Fusion Locating System (EFLS) technology, which uses a Real-Time Kinetic (RTK) global navigation satellite system, with AI-powered vision capabilities, to achieve centimetre-precise positioning. This enables them to manage an exceptionally diverse range of lawns.

And thanks to 24.5 cm extra-large wheels, these Segway GPS mowers can also handle uneven lawns, including slopes of up to 30%.

Cutting the Lawn’s Edges

If your lawn runs flush with the borders, Navimow can use its Ride On Boundary feature to achieve an impeccable cut, right up to the very edge of the lawn.

In other circumstances, you should select the Standard Boundary option, whereby the mower remains safely within the lawn’s confines.

Can Navimow Avoid Obstacles in Real Time?

the Segway Navimow i105E Robotic Mower from aboveYes, absolutely. Thanks to its VisionFence sensor, Navimow can avoid temporary obstacles in real time. This sensor uses an integral AI fish-eye camera, with a 140-degree field of view, to distinguish grass from other objects. It recognises 150 different types of obstacle!

How Navimow Overcomes Weak Signals

As some of our customers have testified, even if a lawn doesn’t enjoy full network coverage, this won’t stop Navimow getting on with its work. Once again, its AI-powered vision capabilities allow this robotic mower to overcome obstacles and continue mowing with ultra-high precision.

Other Notable Features

At the end of every mowing session, Navimow returns to its docking station, where it intelligently recharges so that it is ready to take on its next job.

Select a Navimow Model

The Navimow i Series consists of two different Segway robomows: the i105E and i108E.

The Navimow i105E is suitable for mowing areas up to 500 m2. Its in-app map capacity is 600 m2. This model takes a 2.55 Ah battery, with a running time of 60 minutes. The battery can complete a full charge in 90 minutes.

The i108E Navimow by Segway is recommended for mowing lawns up to 800 m2 and has an in-app map capacity of 960 m2. It uses a 5.1 Ah battery, with both a running and charging time of 120 minutes. Due to its greater capacity, the i108E Navimow Segway price is slightly higher.

It also includes a powerful anti-theft feature, which immediately notifies you if your robot mower leaves its designated zone. Navimow Access will then continue to track the mower until you’ve recovered it.
