Delivery Costs

England & Wales

Standard Delivery – FREE over £150 or £7.95 otherwise*. Delivery is to be expected in 5-7 working days.

Some bulkier, heavier items (for example trailers) will incur a surcharge for delivery, but this will be displayed on the product page if so.

*Machine assembly charges are excluded from the free delivery threshold.

Express Delivery - £15/£20 (depending on the weight of the order). Orders will be dispatched the following working day after you order, for delivery the next working day after that.

Only available on in stock items and for orders that don't require a pallet delivery; if you don't see the option available at the checkout, we are currently unable to offer express shipping to you.

Ride-on Mower Delivery - FREE within 100 miles of Worcester

Ride-on mowers are delivered by our own drivers, for free to addresses within 100 miles of our Worcester head office. We may be able to deliver further afield for a cost, please contact us for a quote.

Click & Collect

You can collect your order from our head office at 4 Newtown Road, WR5 1HF. We will call you once your order is ready to collect, as it may not be immediately available if stock is held in another location.


Depending on where you are in Scotland and the contents of your basket, there may or may not be a delivery surcharge imposed by the couriers. The price varies upon the volumetric weight of the consignment and the delivery postcode, with Garden Machinery Direct always covering the basic cost. 

To ensure you only pay what is required, we have split this into postcode zones with prices varying across each area. You can select your postcode from the shipping method list once you've filled your basket, or enter your postcode on the same page to see the shipping method(s) and cost (if any) available to you. 

Isle of Wight

Delivery is FREE up to 50 kg or charged at £40 otherwise (weight may be calculated volumetrically). 

Channel Islands, Isle of Man & Northern Ireland

We have chosen to no longer ship to these locations due unreliable, ever-increasing costs and complicated paperwork requirements.

International Delivery

It is with regret that we are unable to ship internationally; this includes the Republic of Ireland.

Our Couriers

We work with several couriers including DPD, TNT, and Marshall's Transport (Pallet Track). For some Scottish addresses, your consignment may be passed to a local courier for the final leg of its journey. The courier used depends upon the weight of the consignment, but once your order has been completed you will receive an email with relevant tracking details for the courier that will be delivering your order.


You will receive full tracking information including a 1-hour predicted delivery window and photographic proof of delivery, as well as a range of in-flight options including delivery to a DPD pick-up shop. You can track your order online using the consignment number in your dispatch confirmation email.

Marshall's Transport

You will receive a 2 hour delivery window on the morning of the day of delivery. You cannot track your consignment online but you can call them on 01386 556 808.

All our couriers are usually able to leave your delivery in a safe place; please leave a note during checkout and we will pass this onto the courier. However, we cannot guarantee your request will be actioned, and if it is, we are not responsible for any loss or damage occurred because of your instructions.

Delivery timeframes

Once your order has left us we expect it to be delivered the following working day (or within 2-3 days for pallet deliveries and consignments going to higher-up Scottish postcodes). We cannot be held responsible for delays to delivery beyond our control including courier mistakes and adverse weather conditions.


All the machinery we sell is brand new (unless explicitly indicated) and is tested prior to dispatch. This means that there may be traces of oil or fuel in the machine, and very minor signs of use. The machine may not also come in its original box, as sometimes machines are sent to us in bulk and without individual boxes, and sometimes their boxes may not be deemed suitable for onward travel. This is all completely normal, but if you have any concerns please do contact us.

Out of stock items

Orders will be dispatched only when all items are available. If you require any items sooner, please place your order containing only the in stock items and place a separate order containing the out of stock items.
