Cancellations (Before or After Dispatch)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you can cancel your order from the time of purchase until 14 days after delivery.
- Before dispatch? Contact us ASAP—we’ll try to stop the order and issue a full refund.
- Already dispatched? Follow the returns process below.
Returns (Up to 14 Days After Delivery)
You have 14 days from delivery to notify us of your intent to return part or all of your order, then an additional 14 days to send it back.
How to Return an Item

Download, print, and complete our Returns Form.

- Return costs are your responsibility, and the goods remain your responsibility until they are successfully delivered to us. We strongly recommend using an insured and tracked service to protect against loss or damage during transit, as we cannot issue refunds for items that arrive damaged or do not reach us.
- Need us to collect? Courier fees: £80 (boxes), £150 (pallets, plus an additional £25 if the item requires securing to the pallet) – GB only.
Important Notes
- Items must be in brand-new condition & original packaging (including pallets where applicable).
- If not, a minimum 25% deduction applies at our discretion.
- Postage costs are non-refundable. Failed/undelivered deliveries with no courier fault will incur a charge.
- Refunds are processed within 7 working days.
Aftersales Issues (7-Day Reporting)
Report missing/damaged items within 7 days of delivery at aftersales@gardenmachinerydirect.co.uk (include photos if applicable).
Faulty Goods
- Within 14 days? Contact us at 01905 619522 or aftersales@gardenmachinerydirect.co.uk. If faulty, you’ll receive a full refund.
- After 14 days? Visit a local dealer for inspection (see warranty details below).
Warranty Claims
Warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not us, and repairs or replacements are handled through their authorised dealer network.
Why Use Your Local Dealer?
To save you the hassle and cost of returning an item to us, we strongly recommend visiting your nearest authorised dealer. Many issues can be quickly diagnosed and resolved without the need for a return.
- Your local dealer can assess faults and determine if a repair or replacement is covered under warranty.
- If the fault is confirmed, the dealer can process the claim directly with the manufacturer.
- If the issue is not covered under warranty (e.g., due to misuse or wear and tear), the dealer can still offer repair services at your request.
