We chose this item because it looked a cost effective solution to cutting off overhanging tree branches which if not dealt with would interfere with our small/medium size tractors and RTV vehicles (like a mule). Otherwise we would need to bring in a tree specialist with a suitable height work platform. With the EGO kit I can do what is needed from the ground. It was easy to set up and I soon got the hang of using it. I already had an EGO back pack to carry a battery which reduced the physical load to carry. This is our 6th EGO tool so we have plentiful batteries.
The hardest job was registering the warranty which has to be done twice, once for the pole and once for the saw, (the part nos are nearly identical with a couple of characters different). In the end I had an email dialogue with EGO support and they registered the warranties for me. They were very helpful.
