About the SHEEN X300 Flame Gun

Powerful, Chemical-Free Weed Control

The Sheen Flame Gun X300 offers an eco-friendly and highly effective way to eliminate unwanted weeds. Using a 2000°F flame, it destroys the plant’s internal structure, stopping sap flow instantly. This causes the weed to wilt and dry out naturally within days. A second pass fully incinerates top growth and any remaining seeds. The result is a clean, weed-free space with potash-rich residue that benefits the soil.

Designed for Professional and Home Use

Made in England for over 35 years, the Sheen X300 has earned a reputation for reliability and durability. It has become a best seller for a reason. It consistently delivers results across both residential and commercial settings. Its high-grade build ensures long-lasting performance, even with frequent use. This flame weeder is trusted by professionals wanting chemical-free results.

Safe and Easy to Operate

This model features a built-in pressure pump and gauge for full flame control and safe, consistent output. A precision burner valve allows you to regulate flame intensity based on the job. The Auto-ignite system ensures a reliable start every time, making operation straightforward and efficient. A jet pricker and jet removal tool are included for hassle-free maintenance.

Versatile and Efficient in Any Garden

The curved burner head allows for precision targeting, making it ideal for driveways, paths, borders, and garden beds. It reaches into tight cracks between paving slabs and works effectively on gravel areas. Unlike mechanical weeders, it causes no soil disruption, preventing the spread of dormant seeds. The flame also eliminates seeds on the surface, reducing future weed growth.

Built for Comfort and Portability

Weighing just 5kg without fuel, the Sheen X300 is light enough for extended use without causing strain. The one-gallon tank runs for up to 45 minutes at full power, reducing the need for frequent refuelling. Sheen recommends filling two-thirds full for optimal performance and fuel efficiency.

Environmentally Responsible Weed Management

Unlike chemical herbicides, this flame weeder produces no toxic runoff or residues harmful to pets, children, or wildlife. The use of paraffin fuel creates minimal emissions compared to petrol-based alternatives. By targeting weeds directly and leaving the soil untouched, it maintains soil health and structure.

Reliable and Cost-Effective Solution

With minimal maintenance needs and no recurring costs for chemical sprays, the X300 saves money over time. Its long lifespan and durable build mean fewer replacements, reducing long-term gardening expenses. For organic gardeners and professionals seeking clean, effective weed control, this tool provides the perfect solution.

  2. Stephen Salisbury

I bought this product mostly as a way to generate stale seedbeds without recourse to herbicides, as hoeing is often not efficient on our wet land. From limited experience this autumn with a fair cover of annual weeds it has worked well. It also cleared small perennial weeds between paving slabs, although it remains to be seen how lasting the result will be, particularly in spring and summer growing conditions. It is robust and lit fairly easily, although there was a tendency for the flame to extinguish. But maybe this is down to technique and will improve with experience.

A bit fiddly to get going but fab once it is.
Pricey but loads better than any gas weed burners I have seen.
