The FS 491 C-EM is a premium clearing saw fitted with a BrushCut 300-3 brush knife (and capable of taking compatible saw blades), designed for professional applications in landscape maintenance. The bike handle lends itself to clearing large areas quickly and efficiently, with an advance universal harness included for comfortable wear.
Updated for 2022 for better performance and greater durability
The redesigned model features a better gear ratio for improved performance and productivity, updates to the gearbox for increased durability, a new deflector design for better visibility of the cutting attachment during use, improvements to the 4-point anti-vibration system, and STIHL’s latest version of M-Tronic for faster throttle response, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced downtime.
Powered by STHIL’s emission-reducing 2-stroke engine
STIHL’s unique 2-MIX petrol engine fuels the clearing saw, and boasts reduced emission engine technology for up to 20% lower fuel consumption and significantly reduced exhaust emissions. STIHL ErgoStart takes the effort out of starting, with just a third of the usual force required to pull the start cord.
Total control right at your fingertips
The one-hand multi-function handle puts all the relevant control elements at the fingertips, and is able to be operated by right and left-handed users. Moving the angle of the bike handle can be done without tools, for quick on-the-go adjustment.
