The STIHL HTA 160 is equipped with a powerful EC motor, fueled by STIHL’s AP system lithium-ion batteries (sold separately) ensuring both power and efficiency. It’s lightweight, yet sturdy magnesium gear facilitates easy handling, making it perfect for slicing through branches up to 20 cm in diameter.

Adjustable for Precision and Reach

Featuring a professional-grade telescopic shaft, the HTA 160’s length adjusts quickly from 160 to 405 cm, allowing for precise cuts even in the upper reaches of trees, with the capability to work at heights around 5 meters.

It supports STIHL 3/8″ P and 1/4″ P saw chains, including the 3/8″ P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) and 1/4″ P Picco Micro 3 (PM3), enabling work without hearing protection in noise-sensitive areas.

Designed for Efficiency and Ease

The compact cutting head includes a robust branch hook for easy removal of clippings and a sprocket cover with a levelling bar for precise positioning.

Controls are integrated into an ergonomically optimized handle with an LED display for ease of use. The standard stand protects the motor housing, and the metal mesh air filter enhances engine cooling for extended service life.

For extended tasks, the optional STIHL RTS backpack system significantly reduces strain while providing ample mobility. This model, like all in the STIHL AP system, is built for professional daily use under all weather conditions, boasting tested splash water protection based on the IPX4 standard for reliability and durability.

Don’t forget the battery and charger

The STIHL HTA 160 pole pruner requires a compatible battery and charger to operate.  We recommend the STIHL AP 300 S battery with a battery life of up to 45 minutes.
