A high-quality domestic chainsaw, the STIHL MS 231 weighs 5.58 kg (without fuel, but with bar and chain) and features a high-performance, fuel-efficient 2-MIX engine, giving it an extremely impressive power-to-weight ratio of 2.4 kg/ kW.  This chainsaw also comes with a 3/8-inch P saw chain, which has a narrow kerf to ensure very precise cutting. The machine has a sound power level of 114 dB(A).

This STIHL petrol chainsaw is available with either a 35 cm (14-inch) or 40 cm (16-inch) guide bar, so you can match it to your exact cutting requirements.

The MS 231’s Top-Quality 2-MIX Engine

The MS 231 STIHL’s 2 kW (2.7 hp), low-maintenance 2-MIX engine boasts up to 70% lower emissions and up to 20% less fuel consumption than a standard STIHL 2-stroke engine of the same power output but without the 2-MIX technology. Not only does this make the MS231 kinder to the environment than most petrol chainsaws, but it also saves you lots of money on running costs.

Long-Life Air Filtration System

The MS 231’s filtration system works through the principle of cyclone pre separation. This means air is drawn inwards, swirled around, and the heavier dirt/ dust particles are ejected. The pre-cleaned air is then routed to the air filter via a pre-separator duct.

This pre separation process results in the air filter enjoying a much longer service life than those found in conventional filtration systems.
