Excellent drive system that is easy to use

Featuring a hydrostatic drive; the user can ensure a comfortable experience steering the ride-on mower.  Furthermore, thanks to a stepless 4-wheel drive; the 1040 4wd ride-on flail mower provides an excellent drive forward regardless of the terrain.  The user can access the rear axle differential by using the foot pedal, whilst driving the flail mower is made easy by a hand control lever.

Furthermore, the 1040 4WD flail mower also has cruise control and an automatic parking brake which can be accessed with ease via the drive control lever.  

Outstanding cutting performance

Equipped with a 7 cutting heights system ranging between 30 mm to 110 mm and a large cutting width of 100 cm; the 1040 4WD ride-on flail mower provides an excellent cutting finish whilst covering more space in a shorter amount of time.

The user can be ensured that minimal damage is reflected back onto the flail mower during cutting, especially on tough terrain thanks to a pendulum suspension of the mowing deck which enables the cutting deck to move upwards, creating a surfing mowing deck.

The flail mower is ideal when it comes to mowing around landscaping or around edges thanks to the asymmetrical arrangement of the mowing deck.

Ergonomic design for comfortable use

The 1040 4WD ride-on flail mower features plenty of ergonomic features to provide the user with that all day mowing comfort.  Features such as upright seating position alongside the spacious legroom, enables taller users to be comfortable whilst on the mower.  Furthermore, the seat can be adjusted to suit the preference of the user, whilst the adjustable suspension system provides for a comfortable mowing experience.

Thanks to a balanced weight distribution with 55% on the rear and 45% on the front axle; users can expect outstanding safety and traction whilst using the rider-on flail mower.   In addition to great traction; the ride-on mower also consists of a low gravitational centre therefore guaranteeing safety, especially on inclines.

The 1040 4WD XL features side panels made out of aluminium to protect the driver from any sharp shrubbery, whilst the tyres on the flair mower is also protected thanks to the Plattfuss-Stop feature which works to stop tires from becoming punctured and flat.
