My first garden blower / vac’ purchase as have been putting it off, but amount of leaves on lawns now too much to rake up by hand. I already own a few Echo gardening tools so was pretty confident that the ES-250ES would be a reliable and good quality purchase. I did some research and found GMD to have the best price and they included a free 100ml bottle of 2 stroke oil. So I purchased the blower / vac’ unseen straight from their website, the purchase and delivery being quick and seamless without any need to message GDM for delivery info…very efficient!
The Echo ES-250ES is exactly as I thought it would be, a high quality and relatively easy to use machine. It started easily out of the box, is very powerful when used as a blower and is noticeably quieter than my older Echo equipment. Re-configuring it to use as a vacuum is a bit fiddly, but straight forward , I would say its slightly cumbersome to handle with the large suction nozzle and collection bag attached, but it vacuum’s dry leaves up easily and quickly and shreds them efficiently into very fine particles…..which can make using the vac a very dusty business. I’ve not attempted to vacuum wet or damp leaves, but I think it may struggle to pick up say, wet leaves stuck to a paved area and I can’t think wet leaves would be beneficial to the function of the shredding blades. Overall though I’m really happy with the Echo garden blower / vac as it reduces an hours manual sweeping / bagging to 15 mins. Thank you GDM for great service.

Happy with the blower haven’t used it as a sucker now unsure why I need a sucker when the blower in itself is probably more effective when used with skill.
