The LM2021E-SP comes from EGO’s professional range of lawnmowers, featuring a wide 50 cm steel cutter deck and variable speed drive. It is built for professional applications but is also ideal for homeowners with large lawns.
Versatile mowing methods
This lawnmower benefits from not, 1, not 2, but 3 mowing methods; cuttings can be collected in the large 60 Litre grass bag, ejected to the rear, or mulched depending on the desired result. the cutting height is easily adjustable through 6 preset settings 25-95 mm.
Variable speed drive does the work for you
There is no need to push the lawnmower as variable speed drive manoeuvres it for you; a speed of 2.2-5.0 km/h reduces user fatigue and is especially helpful for manoeuvring over hilly areas. An ergonomic handlebar adjustable through 3 stages makes for comfortable operation, and folds down for convenient transport and storage.
Sold as a kit so you’re ready to go
The kit includes everything you need to get mowing; as well as the lawnmower shell, a 5 Ah battery (covering 700 m2 per charge) and a rapid battery charger are included.

This is a great machine. Light enough to easily be moved around, both for storing and while mowing. It has so far coped with everything we have thrown at it – bought it to mow a decent sized lawn, as well as a path through a paddock which is rough ground and on a slope. It has not only managed that with ease, but it also, surprisingly, is sturdy enough to handle the whole paddock area (half an acre) with a high cut.
Obviously the battery only lasts about an hour or so cutting, but this is not surprising as the ground is rough and on a slope so driving the wheels takes a lot out of it. But it recharges quickly and after an hour of hard mowing, I need a break too!
Don’t know about the long-term reliability of the machine and battery, but after the first few uses, I am very happy with the purchase. Good that this model comes with all the gear too – decent sized bag, side chute and mulching attachment (I think these are extra on the larger model).
Battery recharger is quick, though is noisy due to the fan that runs while it is charging. Takes about an hour to recharge the 5Ah battery from empty to full.
I think the 700m2 coverage for the 5Ah battery as stated is a bit generous – maybe for a very flat lawn that is not too wet or overgrown, and using the slow speed for self-propelling if could achieve this, but for my more complicated lawn with hills, trees, bushes, wet grass etc it probably did more like 400m2. Less in the paddock area, but I am still happy with it and it is easy to see as the battery runs out, so you are not taken by surprise!
