About the HONDA FJ500 DER Tiller
Powerful, versatile and easy to use.
The Honda FJ500 DER tiller is a powerful and compact machine designed for medium to large gardening tasks.
Powered by a Honda GX160 OHV commercial grade 4-stroke engine, which is very easy to start, this machine provides excellent torque and fuel efficiency, running on unleaded fuel. Maximum tilling width is 32 inches.
Features include a two speed manual belt tension transmission with reverse gear, which uses a constant mesh gearing system with chain drive. Supplied with six 4 tooth digging tines and crop protection discs, which provide excellent results.
Its robust design and low centre of gravity provides excellent balance. Includes front transport wheels for easy manoeuvrability, and angle handlebars for the user comfort.
Supplied with rear drag bar, crop protection discs and front transport wheel as standard.
Maintain Your Honda Products Properly
To keep your Honda petrol machinery running at its best, use standard pump fuels such as SP95, SP98, or SP95-E10.
While Honda doesn’t supply alkylate fuel, its use is permitted.
It’s important to always add a fuel stabiliser, especially if you’re storing fuel for more than a few weeks, as this helps prevent engine issues and keeps the fuel fresh.
Fuel should be stored in small amounts (no more than 5 litres) in a sealed container, away from heat and sunlight. Use within one month unless treated with a stabiliser.
At the end of the season—or if the machine won’t be used for a while—it’s recommended to drain the fuel tank and follow the storage advice in the user manual.
