The Honda UMK 435 comes with a lightweight flywheel, heavy-duty transmission head and straight shaft. It is powered by a compact but robust 4-stroke OHC GX35T engine, with a displacement of 35 cc and net power of 1 kW (1.3 hp). Including a recoil start that requires very little effort, this engine is optimised to consistently deliver high performance and low emissions. Its guaranteed sound power level is 109 dB(A).
The Honda UMK 435 UE has two cutting attachments: a 2-line tap-and-go nylon head and durable 3-tooth blade, which is expertly engineered to tackle the toughest undergrowth with ease. IPX4 certified, this brushcutter is suitable for use in adverse weather conditions.

Maintain Your Honda Products Properly
To keep your Honda petrol machinery running at its best, use standard pump fuels such as SP95, SP98, or SP95-E10.
While Honda doesn’t supply alkylate fuel, its use is permitted.
It’s important to always add a fuel stabiliser, especially if you’re storing fuel for more than a few weeks, as this helps prevent engine issues and keeps the fuel fresh.
Fuel should be stored in small amounts (no more than 5 litres) in a sealed container, away from heat and sunlight. Use within one month unless treated with a stabiliser.
At the end of the season—or if the machine won’t be used for a while—it’s recommended to drain the fuel tank and follow the storage advice in the user manual.

Excellent piece of machinery. Well designed and built with much thought given to small details, such as the how the handlebar clamp has a 2” screw (for adjustment of its position) that is easy to grip with gloves on, especially if the weather is cold. The manual is very thorough, although the illustrations of all the parts, assembly and handling are a little small. 4-stroke engine runs very smoothly: it isn’t quiet, but it is much less noisy than a 2-stroke. Honda labels it as Easy Start and it really is. The brushcutter is quite heavy, but once the right balance is achieved and the very substantial harness adjusted for comfort, this is not a problem in use. Honda engines are well-known for reliability and I expect that will be the same with this brushcutter. So far, very pleased and see no reason so far not to continue to be.

So far, I have only used the nylon line cutter and it has dealt easily and quickly with strimming through undergrowth that contains thistles with hefty stalks. It is well balanced and comfortable.
