About the SCH GWT415 Trailer

SCH GWT415: A British-Built Four-Wheel Heavy-Duty Turntable Trailer

Built for demanding transport work, the SCH GWT415 Trailer combines strength with versatility. Its substantial 760 kg carrying capacity makes it suitable for moving heavy or bulky materials around estates, paddocks and larger properties.

Made in Suffolk, the GWT415 trailer uses durable materials throughout. It can also switch between towing and hand-pulled use, making it a practical choice for varied daily tasks.

A Generous 760 kg Carrying Capacity

With a rated capacity of 760 kg (15 cwt), the SCH GWT415 is designed to handle demanding loads. Its body measures 1,800 mm L x 915 mm W (72 x 36 inches), providing plenty of usable cargo space.

The fixed headboard helps contain loads at the front. Meanwhile, the 300 mm (12-inch) hinged sides and tailboard provide convenient access when loading and unloading.

For larger items, the sides and tailboard can be removed completely. This converts the trailer into a spacious platform trolley, ideal for loads that would otherwise be restricted by fixed sides.

Tow or Manoeuvre the Trailer by Hand

Versatility is one of the GWT415 trailer’s biggest strengths. The standard clevis hitch allows it to be towed behind a suitable vehicle when transporting heavier loads.

SCH also supplies a hand-pull with the trailer. This handle clips into the clevis hitch and offers two pulling positions. As a result, the trailer can be manoeuvred manually when towing is unnecessary.

Durable Phenol-Coated Plywood Construction

SCH uses high-grade phenol-coated plywood for the trailer body. This tough material offers excellent durability and weather resistance for regular outdoor use.

A non-slip coating provides extra grip across the loading surface. This is particularly useful when working in damp conditions or handling awkward cargo.

The complete trailer weighs 130 kg, giving it the substantial construction expected from a heavy-duty model.

Wide Wheels for Smooth Movement

The GWT415 heavy-duty trailer runs on wide-profile 16/650 x 8 wheels fitted with bearings as standard. Their broad design helps provide dependable support when carrying substantial loads.

Importantly, the wheels sit beneath the chassis. This positioning means they do not obstruct the hinged sides when these are lowered.

The bearing-equipped wheels also promote smooth movement while helping to reduce wear on the turf during regular use.

Increase the Cargo Volume When Required

Customers who need even greater versatility can add the optional SCH GWTX415 Extension Sides to their order. These heavy-duty sides measure 450 mm (18 inches) high and significantly increase the trailer’s cargo volume. They make a particularly useful addition when transporting bulky or loose materials.

Alongside the optional SCH 50mm Ball Hitch Attachment, they allow the GWT415 trailer to be adapted to different workloads.

British-Built Quality, Ready to Work

SCH manufactures its equipment in Suffolk with an emphasis on strength, reliability and long service life. The GWT415 heavy-duty trailer reflects this approach with its robust construction and adaptable design. What’s more, this trailer is supplied fully assembled, so it can be put to work straight away.

For estates, grounds teams and other users who regularly move substantial loads, the SCH GWT415 is an exceptionally capable choice. Order this heavy-duty turntable trailer today and add dependable hauling capacity to your equipment fleet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can the SCH GWT415 be used without a towing vehicle?

Yes. A hand-pull handle is included and clips into the standard clevis hitch. This trailer provides two pulling positions, so can be manoeuvred manually when appropriate.

Q: Can I increase the capacity of the SCH GWT415?

The GWT415 trailer has a standard carrying capacity of 760 kg. Optional SCH GWTX415 Extension Sides can double its cargo volume, making them useful for larger, lightweight loads. The extensions increase volume rather than the trailer’s rated weight capacity.
